Kate, I haven't seen anything listed in any of the papers or any of the network sites. I tried searching for Petersburg East Apartments to see if they had a staff listing but couldn't find a site. Maybe they're waiting to contact her family before releasing?

Another letter relating to the proposed Group Home from Ben Greenbaum:

To all who support our Museums and Historic Resources,

I would ardently like to encourage any of you who feel that the proposal
to open and operate another shamelessly, poorly run so-called "adult care
facility" to come to the City Council meeting this coming Tuesday night to
either speak against or, at minimum, show support against, the passage of
such a proposal. As Dawn has indicated in her email, the "proprietor" of
this intended entity has already been cited with over 60 violations, within
the last two or three years, by the Va. Dept. of Social Services. The entire
community on Centre Hill Court, as well as members of our museum and
historic preservation community, and our garden clubs are unamimously
against this proposal. Centre Hill Mansion is the veritable heart of our
museums and certainly one of the most historic buildings in our city. With
an already ill-conceived and poorly run adult home already operating within
50 feet of Centre Hill Mansion, why should the proposal for another such
home, operated by an individual who has already incurred multiple health,
management, training and pharmaceutical dispensation violations, be granted
within 100 feet of the mansion? Elderly individuals in need, do warrant help
and a decent place to live, but this is not one of those kind of places. The
proposed facility house has only two bathrooms, four bedrooms and has just
2400 sq. ft. of living space. Given the confines of this house, the "track
record" of the person slated to run the proposed facility, and the terribly
negative impact on one of the most significantly, historic homes in our
city, I urge as many as possible to attend the council meeting on Tuesday
night and rally against passage of this motion.
